Thoughts from our Executive Producer
A new year brings great reflection for all of us. A review of projects of the past as well as a view to the future for new clients, new projects and all the change that comes with it. We, at Incredible Management, have been so fortunate to continue our relationship with several of our long-standing clients. They continue to teach us, push us, challenge us …. and we do the same for them. We feel blessed to have reached a place with some clients where the experience is such a mutual collaboration and all our teams not only benefit, but look forward to show after show!
Some of our newer clients allow us the opportunities to expand, see the world in a new way and challenge us to open new doors and travel down new roads – which can be terribly exciting and at times breath-holding – but always to a positive outcome.
We look back to projects where our teams were pushed beyond reasonable conditions, where outside forces created terrifying working environments (Paris-Nov 2015) and are so thankful in these moments, that we are surrounded by extraordinary people, that aren’t just our teams – but our family!
As a production industry, we are transient – we move from job to job, team to team – and we are better for each.
Let’s be honest… we don’t save lives in our day to day work. We create the mystery of magic, the slight of hand, the technical wow. In 2016, we lost several members of our extended team to health and mental issues and it’s important for us to create awareness, to keep an eye and watch over our clients and teams as a community.
Time changes, lives change, clients and teams change….. but aren’t we so fortunate – to travel the world and experience all that we do. Here’s to a blistering 2017 and the chance for us all to play in each other’s space.
ASOS have approached Incredible Management to support on a global conference at the beginning of 2017. Bringing all 2,000 of their current employees together to celebrate growth, brand vision and values and discuss the future, Incredible Management are busy sourcing the venue and breakout ideas that will help bring this to life! We are really excited to be working with such a successful on line company and helping them communicate their message.
AkzoNobel Conference in Amsterdam
After a busy 2015 we were all in need of a relaxing break and to charge our batteries ready for a jam-packed 2016! One of our projects for 2016 is with AkzoNobel, where we will be producing its annual internal conference in Amsterdam. We're all enjoying working on this engaging project and will share more information with you about it soon!
We're also in full swing of producing the Salesforce European Tour 2016 and the flagship Dreamforce event in San Francisco...We're ready for you 2016!
Airbnb Open 2015
Airbnb, the world’s leading community-driven hospitality company, will be hosting its first open outside of San Francisco and we're proud to announce that we’ll be involved in the production of the event!
Airbnb hosts from cities across the world are expected to attend the Open in Paris, which will take place from November 12-14. The Open provides an opportunity for the Airbnb host community to gather in one place and connect with their fellow hosts from around the globe. Last year, 1,500 hosts attended Airbnb Open and this year it is expected to attract four times as many hosts from even more international cities!
We're really pleased that we've been given the opportunity to work on such a fantastic project and look forward to sharing more information with you later in the year.
Chloe is just back from Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Milan, Paris, Tokyo, New York and LA, where we have been supporting with production and logistics for Battersea Power Station’s global launch platform. Launch events showcasing the stunning new development were followed by an Expo offering invited guests the chance to learn more about the properties. Over two weeks saw fifteen different events produced in eight different cities across the globe!
A note from our Executive Producer
We’ve started the year with a bang. A very successful follow up “How to Win 2014” event for GlaxoSmithKline and their categories and regional teams found us moving in and out of venues around London. It’s easy to forget want a wonderful city we live in, so it was nice to produce an event on our doorstep! Taking the learnings from 2013 allowed us a better streamlined approach and better client services & communication over all. Taking the show in a more digital format was a huge investment in time and design, but so well worth it in the end. Whatever did we do without iPads? Certainly one of our favourite events of the year, it allows the team amazing insight into such an extraordinary company, who are pushing the concept of science proved consumer healthcare to the next level.
I had the opportunity to fill the shoes of another producer on a well-established show in the US, by covering her maternity leave. It’s always interesting to have the insight into new clients and new teams. It was a privilege to work with such a talented group of people and gave me insight into new learnings and confirmed some suspicions that I already had.
While I am aware that we may not be the right fit for all clients, I know that we are one of the top companies in our business when it comes to creativity, design and client service. We manage our clients with a very firm hand, perhaps over educating in some cases to help them understand how production works, especially on site as the numbers of crew and varying schedules control how we communicate and how quickly we can turn on a dime. We take our client service and cost management very serious, wanting to exceed expectations, while managing expenditures. We prefer to integrate ourselves into our clients teams, rather than the standard “agency” format that sees two teams working in parallel. As collaborative partners, we understand their brand and objectives far better than we could if we were running in parallel tracks.
We are fortunate to have some wonderful clients and projects in the coming months and have finally started the Disney In Concert business with our first show in Nice, France October 31 (Look out for the link at the top of our website!).
We produced our second Bitcoin Conference, this time in San Francisco. The audience had tripled in size since the first and the list of speakers and attendees continues to be impressive. This new digital currency is the talk of every economic program and certainly has the IMF and World Bank running scared. It has been a true pleasure to work with team of StartForum and CoinSummit as they spearhead the vision of the Bitcoin, bringing the do-ers of this cryptocurrency together to determine the future of the way we manage our money!
It’s been a crazy start to the year and with an upcoming Salesforce tour in Europe, we’re not resting on our heels. A huge thank you to our team and all our clients for letting us play in your sandbox! Here’s to an amazing 2014!
From London to San Francisco!
With just a few weeks to go until the second conference for CoinSummit, this time based in San Francisco for an audience of 500 people, it is all coming together. We have 55 speakers over the two days so have assigned a dedicated speaker handler onsite with a seriously calm attitude!! Numbers for the event have gone from a slow trickle to a serious uptake so we are currently looking to livestream the event over the two days to accommodate all the delegates wanting to get in on the hottest virtual currency topics. The open live panel will be judged in the last week and IML can expect to receive 20 presentations to work on and add to the showdeck!
GSK ‘HOW TO WIN’ 2014
With the upcoming GSK event only months away, the IML team are busy planning the five day conference. An event which will not only host a general session; but a selection of dinners, retail visits, 18 bespoke breakouts and a team build. Following the success of Miami earlier this year, GSK brought us back to produce next years conference on our own home ground in London. It's always a pleasure to be asked back as we can build on our learnings and be even stronger as a team. With a brief to take 2014's event in to a more digital format, there are some exciting things to come... watch this space!
The gym of the future
Incredible Management have been given the opportunity to support Fitness First in their £70m re-brand, and produce their Global Conference in London next month. The IML team are busy putting together the finishing touches for the launch event at Kings Place, and are very much looking forward to the big 'reveal'. Keep your eyes peeled!
